Album Info:A set of three railroad freight receipts from the 1870's. The P&C Railroad was actually the forerunner to the B&O Railroad. Construction was started between Pittsburgh and Connellsville in 1847 but the two were not connected until 1861. Note how cheap the shipping prices were on these receipts!

Description:  Date unknown on this. I'm going with 1873 simply because it was close to the dates of the other two. Receipt for a shipment of feed, corn, and oats. Total cost was just 33 cents! P&C Railroad was the forerunner to the B&O Railroad.
