An autorack train works the yard in some sweet late afternoon sunlight. CSX 8854 EMD SD40-2 is former Conrail 6496 built in August 1979. I photographed this one on an eastbound train three days ago and the power has now been turned around since then. |

| Description: |
SD70MAC idling on coal train V634-06 which would leave much later in the day. The old B&O pole line still remains but their days may be numbered. This is looking like it is going to be the year that CSX finally does away with any remaining relics of the B&O era. The only thing keeping these wires here right now is that they lead to some CPL signals at Bluestone and Casparis. When those go, the wires will be completely obsolete. And yes, the poles really are this crooked. |
