I posted this photo to show how big these trains are in relation to the neighborhood surroundings. This was taken at street level. Also in the left of the picture is Barb. I had a pleasant day of railfanning with her and her husband Bob. Two C40-9Ws also assisted by a Union Pacific AC60CW pull this loaded coal train down the main drag in West Brownsville, on a beautiful late-summer day. In this distressed Mon-Valley town, coal is still the leading industry after all these years. |
