Description: |
The second engine on empty oil train K051. This one is a long ways from its home rails. Note the section below the exhaust has been touched up in a different shade of grey. It must have gotten scorched before. |

UP 6664 and 6242 |
Description: |
A pair of AC44CW's at rest on empty oil train K051 in a springtime rainstorm in Broadford. When there are crew shortages, empty bulk trains of low priorty are often left on the mainline here in Broadford, where they can be easily ran around with a crossover not far from here. The second engine is still in Southern Pacific paint. The broken concrete pieces in the foreground were an old B&O "W" whistle post. It used to be on the other side of the tracks. |
