Q317-10 going west after getting a train put together in the Connellsville Yard. It is now a rare event when a CSX SD40-2 is leading on a train instead of a GE engine. Under the reign of new CEO E Hunter Harrison, there have been many earth-shaking changes at CSX. This train is one of them. For decades the Q317 and Q316 trains used the Mountain Subdivision from Cumberland to Grafton. Now they get their start and end in Connellsvillle. Other new trains now go through Connellsville as well. Some railroad towns on CSX have not been so fortunate and have seen a decrease in traffic or activity. |
