They ran out of room to keep the train in the CSX Yard so it was kept on this first mile of track overnight. The days of manned locomotives on yard jobs here may soon be a thing of the past, as signs have already been put up warning of remote-controlled locomotives on duty. CSX 6417 is former C&O 4279 built in 1978.

Things sure change in just a few years. Mother-slug engines sets are no longer used as the daily yard jobs in Connellsville. Also, Crown Cork and Seal no longer uses railcars.

Description:  L394-04 is restarting in Connellsville after a brief crew change, with lots of smoke being created by the second engine in line, which is a C40-8W. Ironically it was making more smoke than the older SD40-2 in front. The landscape here is looking very lush green right after some heavy rains.
