Description:  A restored Alco S2 doing a special Father's Day charter run for the Fayette Central Railroad tourist line. Here it is seen in Dunbar, Pa while the passengers and crew enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. The engine is pulling caboose PC 18086 and caboose PLE 504. Description:  The Fayette Central Railroad tourist train on its second run of the day, stopping for a photo-op over the Youghiogheny River. This is the limits of how far the train is allowed to go. From here it reverses back south towards Dunbar with a conductor on the caboose leading the way.

Description:  The Fayette Central Railroad excursion train going north through rural Dunbar, Pa. Finally the railroad has acquired some passenger cars besides just having cabooses to carry people. The passenger cars came from the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad in WV, and are currently being leased. Photo taken from the mostly unused siding that led to the abandoned BoWest railyard.

Title:  Fayette Central Railroad, river crossing
Description:  The weekend tourist train pausing for photos on the Greene Junction Bridge over the Youghiogheny River in South Connellsville. The train is made up of B&O 9061, PESX 5045, PC 18086, and P&LE 504. The passenger car was leased from the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad in the summer. It was built June 1, 1923 by Canadian Car & Foundry for Canadian National Railway. It has a capacity of 80 passengers. The train does not go any further forward than this because it would be entering CSX tracks. From here it shoves backwards towards Dunbar and Uniontown.

Description:  This rests on the siding next to 84 Lumber in Uniontown during the week when not in use. It is only used for passenger excursions one day a week now.Built as RFP 64 in September 1948 by American Locomotive Company/General Electric Company in Shenectady NY. Later it became Steelton & Highspire 65, South Buffalo 65, BethEnergy Mines Incorporated 65 at Marianna, PA, BethEnergy Mines Incorporated 65 at Cokeburg, PA, Eighty-Four Mining Company 65 at Cokeburg, PA, Westmoreland Heritage Railroad (as PRR 5656), Fayette Central Railroad (as B&O 9061). The two yellow-orange safety stripes and the yellow handrails are things that were added this year. Also some rust spots in the paint have been touched up at some point. Photographed through a fence.

A month of special Santa Claus trains will close out the era of the Fayette Central's vintage passenger trains on the former B&O Sheepskin Branch. It weathers and rusts a little bit more each year that it stays here.
