Two former ATSF Dash 9's are back out of storage, on CSX train Q368-16 below the Salisbury Viaduct just outside of Meyersdale, Pa. Description:  Faded and weathered but still a welcome sight around here anytime. This was the third engine on an eastbound ethanol train that fortunately had stopped for a signal at Greene Junction, to let a fast container train pass first. This GE C44-9W is former ATSF 645 built in March 1994.

Description:  Q389 heading west in the backcountry of Dawson, Pa, along the Youghiogheny River. This train had quite a display of power......one Warbonnet, a BN whiteface, a CSX and two Norfolk Southerns. Sadly I picked a terrible angle on this and did not get a view of them all. This is former ATSF 652, built in September 1994.

I heard the unique sound of their horn when it was a few miles down the tracks in Dawson, and I thought to mysself: Ok here we go, time to get ready for some BNSF. And I wasnt disappointed. Note the cargo behind the engines are MRAP armored vehicles. They have been hauling them a lot lately.

Description:  Eastbound Q368 rolls into Connellsville over fresh snow and in morning sunlight, led by BNSF 674 still in its Santa Fe glory. As of this uploading, the train had just left South Connellsville and is Cumberland-bound. BNSF 674 is former ATSF 674, GE C44-9W, built September 1994. (Note the reflection of the bridge I was on, in the windshield).
