Description:  Z564-02 has been cleared by the yardmaster to use CSX rails and enter the yard in Connellsville to drop off two tank cars. It would pick up ten others. The boxcar and gondola are used as buffers. WE 109 brings up the rear, so this train had two named engines on it: Lynn Shook and Robert Bixler.

He was president of the Denver Rio Grande and Western Railroad in the 1980s. Many former executives from the DRGW are now on the W&LE. Description:  After picking up four cars in Connellsville, the crew has timed out on train Z565-07 and it is tied down here at milepost one. This engine wears ACY on the side in honor of the Akron, Canton, and Youngstown Railroad. Built as SOU 2653 in February 1965. Later became NS 2653.

Description:  Leading train 614 east into Connellsville. This engine wears ACY on the side in honor of the Akron, Canton, and Youngstown Railroad which existed between 1907 and 1982 and used track currently owned by the W&LE. Built as SOU 2653 GP35 in February 1965. Later became NS 2653. Acquired by the W&LE in 1990 and rebuilt to a GP35-3 in February 2002. The old Alco Type B trucks are on thirteen GP35-3s owned by the W&LE.

Description:  A pair of EMD GP35-3s taking train 614 east into the yard in Connellsville, under the Crawford Avenue Bridge. The AC&Y heritage-painted engine was a nice sight. #110 was on the other end of this train.

Description:  A former Southern/NS 2705 GP35 built December 1964. Rebuilt at the W&LE Brewster, Ohio shops to a GP35-3 in 1997. The number 2705 was kept until 2004 when it became #108 which you see here. The engine still retains its old Norfolk Southern black paint. This train was seen at the junction with CSX in Connellsville, Pa.
