Here the Western Maryland Scenic Railway bridges the gap between two states, as it crosses the Potomac River between West Virginia and Maryland on the way to the station in Cumberland to pick up passengers for the voyage to Frostburg. The engine is an EMD GP30. Taken from the C&O Canal Trail in Cumberland. After doing some extensive research I found out this GP30 is a restored former Conrail 2175/Reading 3607 engine, as the original Western Maryland Railway never had any GP30's on their roster.
