WMR Ohiopyle High Bridge
A beam and deck girder brige built in 1912 by the Western Maryland Railway as part of its Connellsville Extension. This crosses the beautiful Youghiogheny River at Ferncliff Peninsula, Ohiopyle State Park. Abandoned by the Western Maryland Railway in the mid 70's after the Chessie System merger. In 1999 renovation on this bridge was completed for the Great Allegheny Passage. There was one other WMR bridge in Ohiopyle which was replaced in the early 2000's.
