A locomotive that has racked up some railroads and miles over the years. Built in Setpember 1966 as SP 8840 SD45. Later it became UP 2795, CEFX 2795, and CITX 2795. Somewhere during that time it was rebuilt to a SD40M-2. This was one of 17 locomotives in the Connellsville CSX yard that I counted today. |

Back in the area for another visit. This time I get it up close. The second engine on autotrack train Q216-14. Built in September 1966 as SP 8840 SD45. Later it became UP 2795, CEFX 2795, and CITX 2795. This is now an SD40M-2. Though this locomotive looks nice it sounded like crap. |

| Description: |
Eastbound autorack train Q216-14 using Track 2 Main for headroom at Greene Junction in South Connellsville, Pa. The EMD SD70ACe and SD40M-2 was like a double treat. I kept my fingers crossed that the sun would stay out long enough for this photo. Most of the time it was cloudy, windy, and raining on and off. Ten minutes later it was raining again. Update: #4850 was retired in 2017, and sold to Progress Rail. |
