This engine was reportedly in an accident with a tractor-trailer, according to the PittsburghChannel.com (WTAE). Their article was posted November 25. According to the article, a truck carrying a forklift was stuck on the tracks and the train was unable to avoid him. The accident was in Fredericktown, PA on Old Route 88. Hazmat was called, as apparently the fuel tank has a leak. No injuries were reported. Seen in the Norfolk Southern West Brownsville Yard. In the background is NS 5147 and Conrail 5328. Thanks to the Norfolk Southern maintenance crew for allowing me to take photos. This engine has now been painted black. |

One of the rare GP38-2's that is still in blue, sitting pretty in the NS West Brownsville Yard. A former Conrail/Penn Central 8156 built in October 1973. I was on a quest to photograph this one ever since a year ago when it was in this yard but it was too far back for me to get a proper portrait of it. Photographed with permission. This has now been repainted to black, sadly. |

Train S26, a short freight local crossing the Brownsville Junction Bridge onto the Loveridge Secondary. Last year I photographed this engine in the West Brownsville Yard and it was still in Conrail blue. Sure it looks great in black but Im still sad to see that. It was former Conrail/Penn Central 8156 built in October 1973. |

Train S26 sits on Track 8 in the West Brownsville Yard, almost ready to cross the Brownsville Junction Bridge and go south on the Loveridge Secondary. Last year I photographed this engine in almost the same location except it was still in Conrail blue. Sure it looks great in black but Im still sad to see that.
