Description:  The two teenagers in this photo were inattentively walking right down the middle of the tracks for the whole straitaway, and I heard this Q261-19 autorack train calling out at the signal in Bluestone and I knew the train would be right up on them in no time. I yelled down at them repeatedly to get the *#@! off the tracks because a train is coming behind them and they just keep walking in a stupor. They dont move out of the way till the train has to lay on the horn and almost go into emergency mode. When they do finally get off the tracks, they dont back up any further than you see right here. As soon as the train (temporarily) came to a stop for the Greene Junction signal, these idiots crossed the couplers between the autoracks, and then also the coal train. No wonder fatalities happen almost every year on CSX in the Connellsville area.

Description:  A veteran of the L&N (5013) built in November 1971. It was an SW1500 switcher when it started out but is now a RCPHE4. It is a remote control engine that can be attached to other engines on a train to make them remote control as well. But in this photo it was just being pulled along. Most recently this was in Selkirk, NY so who knows where it is headed next. This used to be CSX 1118, so the number 9 on this is just improvised.

This is westbound train U641-27 which finally got underway after dealing with a switch that woundn't throw for a few hours. FINALLY someone thought to check and see if something was in the way of the switch, and it was thrown by hand.

Description:  The yard job Y101-31 going backwards down the grade on the siding of Crown Cork and Seal. A few times a month, a full gondola of scrap metal is swapped out with an empty one. This EMD GP38-2 is former Seaboard 4057 and L&N 4057 built in January 1972. Update: This railroad spur is now inactive. All shipments to and from the factory are done by truck.
