Description:  Q253-02 slowly proceeding west down Track 4. Note the open door on this hot humid day. I'm not sure if this old loco has any A/C in it. This SD40-2 has an interesting history. Built as L&N 1258 SD40 in May 1971. Later became CSX 8334 SD40, before somehow ending up as SP 8629 SD40M-2. When it came back to CSX the second time, it got its old number again.

Description:  A bit of railroad history here, as the ever changing CSX has now decided to completely reroute the Q317 trains and make them a Connellsville to Newell to Grafton run. They used to run from Cumberland to Grafton on the Mountain Subdivision for many years. If they keep using standard cabs like 8335 I could really get used to this new train.

Description:  Q394-20 sits stranded on Track 2 Main in a heavy snowstorm. It has run out of hours and CSX had no available replacement crews. Q394 normally has left Connellsville by early morning but it was not an ordinary day. Update: #7627 was retired from CSX in summer 2016.

Description:  An EMD SD40-2 sitting pretty, up on the Wheeling and Lake Erie trestle over Mountz Creek in Connellsville. Former C&O 7457 SD40 built in July 1966. New YN3 paint in 2010. This was one of five locomotives on Q394. Due to a bad train wreck in Ohio, several CSX trains were forced to detour onto this railroad in order to get around the accident.
