A train that was sitting here all night, at the junction of CSX and W&LE in Connellsvile, during a storm that dumped a foot of additional snow on the area. I later found out that the CSX yard in Connellsville where this would have been going, had their switches frozen shut. |

The Connellsville CSX yard is looking more like the W&LE Rook Yard, with the full ore train K110-27 passing the empty ore train K110-26. The empty has come back from Sparrows Point, Md, and the full one is headed there, eventually. Note that there is a crew in the second engine as well as the first one. I thought that was rather odd. |

A train of empty ore hoppers is shut down/tied down on the North End of Connellsville and awaiting a new crew after coming off the CSX Keystone Sub at 1:30 AM. Seen here early on a damp, humid morning. These trains have been running between Port Huron, Ohio and Sparrows Point, Maryland for a few months now. #7377 a former GSCX 7377/GATX 7377/UP 4198/MP 3198, built in March 1975. #6347 is a former EMDX 6347/SOO 6347/MILW 174 built in July 1973. |
